Dual Shot Camera Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Dual Shot Camera handles information when you use the current app experience, including dual-photo capture, dual-video capture, single-video capture, saving to your photo library, and optional sharing or upload flows.
Important Notes
Core camera features run primarily on-device. Capturing photos and videos, generating local previews, preparing export files, and saving media to your system photo library are handled on your iPhone.
We request only the permissions needed for the feature you choose. The app currently asks for camera access, microphone access, and photo library access. If you deny microphone access, the app can still capture silent video in supported flows.
Optional third-party flows may send data to third parties you choose to use. For example, if you upload to YouTube, the selected video file and the title, description, and privacy setting you enter are sent to Google/YouTube. If you share to other installed apps or platforms, the media you choose is passed to those apps or services.
We do not request App Tracking Transparency permission, and the current app does not use IDFA-based ad tracking for cross-app advertising.
1. App Scope
Dual Shot Camera is an iPhone camera app focused on capturing and exporting creator-friendly media. Depending on the mode you select, the app can create dual-output photo or video results, a single portrait video result, show recent media from your system photo library, and help you share or upload the media you create.

3. Information We Process
3.1 Camera and Microphone Content
- Live camera input used to capture photos and videos.
- Microphone audio if you grant microphone permission and record video with sound.
- Derived media files generated by the app inside the app sandbox before saving or sharing.
3.2 Photo Library Information
- Recent-media thumbnails used to show your latest item on the home screen.
- Photo library authorization status and, when applicable, limited-library access status.
- Local photo library identifiers for media that the app saves, so the app can reference saved items in later share flows.
3.3 Sharing and Upload Information
- The photo or video you explicitly choose to share or upload.
- Optional share text or destination-specific metadata.
- For YouTube uploads, the title, description, and privacy selection you confirm in the upload composer.
- Google account authorization data needed to obtain an upload token for YouTube, if you choose that feature.
3.4 Local Settings and Technical Data
- Preferences such as appearance mode, app language selection, flash mode, and related camera settings.
- Temporary export files and prepared share files generated locally while you use capture and share features.
- Basic technical signals needed to complete chosen third-party flows, such as callback URLs and supported app scheme checks.
4. Permissions We Request
| Permission | Why We Request It | What Happens If You Decline |
|---|---|---|
| Camera | To capture photos and videos inside Dual Shot Camera. | You will not be able to use capture features. |
| Microphone | To record audio into video files. | You may still be able to record silent video, but audio recording will not be available. |
| Photo Library | To save captures to Apple Photos, show your latest media thumbnail, and open the system album from the app. | The app cannot save to your library or show recent-photo access dependent UI. |
5. When Data Leaves Your Device
The app's normal capture pipeline is local. Data leaves your device only when you choose a network-dependent feature or when a third-party provider is needed to complete a service you request.
- If you upload to YouTube, the selected video file and upload metadata are sent to Google/YouTube.
- If you share to a third-party app or service, the selected media is handed off to that destination.
- If you send us email support, the message is processed by your email provider and delivered to our support inbox.
6. Third-Party Services and Providers
Depending on the feature you use, Dual Shot Camera may interact with third-party services or SDK-backed integrations such as:
- Apple services, including the photo library and system sharing features.
- Google Sign-In and YouTube upload APIs when you choose to upload a video to YouTube.
- Installed social or messaging apps you explicitly choose as share destinations.
Those third parties process data under their own privacy terms once a handoff or upload is initiated.
7. Storage and Retention
- Media you capture is stored locally on your device during processing and may then be saved into your system photo library if you allow that action.
- The app may keep temporary local files for previews, exports, or prepared share assets until they are replaced, cleaned up, or removed by the app or system.
- Settings and lightweight caches may be stored locally on-device to preserve your preferences and improve the user experience.
8. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited situations:
- With service providers or platform providers needed to complete a feature you request.
- With social, messaging, or video platforms you explicitly choose as a destination for your content.
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.
9. Tracking and Advertising
- The current app does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.
- The current app does not use IDFA-based cross-app advertising tracking.
- The app is designed around capture, export, and optional creator sharing flows rather than ad targeting.
10. Your Choices
- You can deny camera, microphone, or photo library access in iOS Settings.
- You can choose not to use YouTube upload or third-party share destinations.
- You can remove saved media from Apple Photos using the Photos app.
- You can delete the app to remove app-sandbox data stored locally on your device.
11. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page. Your continued use of the app after an updated policy becomes effective means the updated policy will apply to future use of the app.
